Please share this through your networks. Our Australian government has announced a reduction of funding to the publicly funded legal services in Indi. This affects our ability to access free legal advice. The budget cuts will inhibit law reform and advocacy work too. Our Australian Attorney General who is responsible for the decision has not provided his reasons for the reduction. Services affected include the community legal sevices from Albury Wodonga (Hume Riverina CLS) Shep (Goulburn Valley CLC) and Bendigo ( Loddon Campaspe CLC). It will also affect our Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service (VALS) and the Family Violence Prevention Legal Service. Can we get together to work out what we can do in response? This notice us to flag the idea of the event with details of time and place to follow.
